Galvanizer Overhead Crane Operator (Kettle)

Schedule:   Monday- Friday, 3 PM- 11 PM, occasional Saturday Work

Location:  Harrisburg, NC 28075

Pay Rate: $21.75/hr

The Role

PrideStaff is partnering with a leading industrial manufacturing team to find a detail-oriented Galvanizer (Kettle) to support our metal finishing operations. In this role, you will play a key part in the hot-dip galvanizing process by preparing materials, operating equipment, and ensuring every product meets high quality standards in a collaborative, safety-first environment.  The ideal candidate must have 1-2 years of overhead crane experience. Must be able to work in a hot working environment.

What You Will Do

Inspect steel items for proper preparation, venting, and draining prior to carefully managing their cycle time in the zinc kettle tanks.

Move, hook, and transport materials throughout the facility using overhead cranes, spinners, and specialized machinery.

Maintain tank quality by clearing surface ash, monitoring chemical prep, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.

Technical Aptitude & Precision: Comfort following written/verbal instructions, using standard measurement tools (such as tape measures), and learning specialized processing machinery.

Safety & Environment Readiness: Ability to safely lift or move up to 50 lbs, remain active throughout a shift in an industrial shop environment (with exposure to heat and outdoor elements), and consistently follow safety protocols.

Teamwork & Adaptability: Strong communication skills to raise concerns or suggestions, a collaborative spirit, and flexibility to work varied shift schedules.
