About this role
Job Purpose
To be the BU Product Engineer for assigned device(s). The successful candidate will have strong technical ability and preferably experience in power products, good communication skills, and a team player who is able to work with global team in a matrix-organization structure of a multinational semiconductor company.
Qualification
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferably in Electrical, Electronics or Physics
- 3-5 years of device or product and test engineering experience preferable.
- Proficient knowledge of power semiconductor devices such as IGBT, Rectifiers and gate drivers.
- Knowledge of or experience in silicon fabrication, assembly and testing of discrete power devices is strongly desired. Experience in power modules is a plus.
- Experience with Silicon Carbide technology is a big plus for this role.
- Good knowledge in design of experiment, statistical analysis, simple circuit & failure analysis.
- Hands-on working experience with statistical analysis software tools such as Minitab/JMP is preferred.
- Proven track record of effective problem solving and good engineering judgment.
- Ability to multitask & self-driven to produce results in a timely fashion with strong sense of competitive urgency.
- Good verbal and written communications skills. Position demands very competent verbal and written communications skills in English.
