Position Summary

Huntleigh USA is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Charter Screener to join our team at STL Airport . In this role, you will be responsible for screening passengers and baggage prior to boarding private charter flights, helping ensure the safety and security of all passengers, crew members, and airport operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, and capable of maintaining professionalism while working in a fast-paced aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct passenger and baggage screening in accordance with established security procedures and company requirements

- Operate screening equipment, including metal detectors, X-ray machines, and explosive detection devices

- Identify and address security concerns during the screening process

- Communicate professionally and courteously with passengers, flight crews, and airport personnel

- Maintain a safe, secure, and customer-focused environment

- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient screening operations

- Complete required documentation and maintain accurate screening records

- Report incidents, discrepancies, or security concerns to management promptly

- Follow all company, airport, and regulatory security procedures

Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Previous security screening, aviation, airport, customer service, or related experience preferred

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of passengers and crew members

- Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

- Must successfully pass a criminal background check

- Must pass a pre-employment drug screening

- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport security clearances

Schedule Requirements

- Part-Time PRN position

- Must be available to work varying shifts

- Weekend availability required

- Holiday availability required

- Ability to work mornings, evenings, nights, and overtime as operational needs require

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

- Ability to lift and move baggage and screening equipment when necessary

- Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment

- Ability to perform essential job functions safely and effectively
