About this role
Social Services Practitioners are sought to join the newly established Social Work North Community Team in Adult Services, which is a geographically aligned adult community social work team serving the North area of Swansea.
Working within a multidisciplinary setting and supportive supervisory structure, the roles involve undertaking statutory social care eligibility assessments and reviews and adhering to safeguarding principles, while collaborating creatively with citizens to promote their independence and well-being.
Candidates must be qualified to work as a Social Services Practitioner in Wales, have experience of paid or voluntary work in a social care setting and knowledge of the Social Services & Well-Being (Wales) Act 2014. High standards of communication and report-writing skills are essential.
A range of contract options are available, including full‑time temporary, part‑time temporary, and part-time permanent posts. Temporary posts are 12 months in duration.
The salary for the position is Grade 7 £33,119 - £36,581 per annum or pro rata for a part time position.

- Paid or voluntary experience in a social care setting.
- Qualified Social Services Practitioner status in Wales.
- Knowledge of the Social Services & Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014 and related legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
