Job Title: Field Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated entry level Field Technician with a willingness to travel throughout the region, primarily focused on the East Hartford, Connecticut area. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, can pass a drug test, and possesses good communication skills. This role is perfect for individuals who can work independently and are self-motivated to excel in their tasks. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities
- Perform basic field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures.
- Recommend and identify when troubleshooting tests are required.
- Work independently, making field decisions without direct supervision, and be responsible for obtaining field data to evaluate structures.
- Compile and submit field data for lead staff review.
- Familiarize with standard survey and construction practices for corrosion control projects.
- Evaluate field data and prepare draft reports for the area supervisor.
- Drive from site to site in a company vehicle.
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as interact with team members, clients, and management staff.
- Willingness to travel as required for the job.
- Clean driving record and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Pass a drug test and MVR check.
- U.S. Citizenship required for government contracts.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- No prior experience required; training and certifications will be provided.
- Interest in corrosion control and cathodic protection.
- Ability to troubleshoot and make decisions in the field.
Work Environment This position involves working in a field/construction site environment, where the technician will be required to travel to various sites. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
