Job Title: Structural Engineer (PE)
Job Description The Structural Engineer (PE) will serve as the technical and operational leader for the Structural Engineering practice within the Columbus, Ohio office. This role combines hands-on engineering, project leadership, business development support, mentoring, and practice development responsibilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and growing a structural engineering team that mirrors the capabilities, quality standards, and execution excellence demonstrated throughout the organization. This position requires a licensed Professional Engineer with strong experience in industrial facilities and infrastructure. Primary market sectors include power generation, electric transmission and distribution, bulk material handling, and oil & gas facilities. The individual will provide technical leadership for structural engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, safe, and cost-effective solutions. Responsibilities

Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis or Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; ability to obtain Ohio PE registration within six months if licensed in another state.
- Minimum twelve (12) years of progressively responsible structural engineering experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading structural engineering projects within industries such as power generation, electric transmission and distribution, industrial facilities, bulk material handling, oil & gas.
- Experience serving as lead engineer, discipline lead, or engineering manager on multidiscipline projects.
- Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and BIM coordination tools.
- Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, and applicable industrial design standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and client communication skills.

- Experience with concrete, structural design, deep foundation, and reinforced concrete.
Work Environment Work is primarily conducted in an office environment (Private or Semi-Private Office) but also requires occasional travel to off-site work locations. Field duties require outdoor work in a construction site type atmosphere. Interaction with other team members, as well as supervisors and client personnel, is expected. Work may involve being on a construction site or in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels. Safety equipment must be worn as required by the safety department for personal protection. The role may involve visiting more than one job site in a day and tolerating climate changes. Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $208000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
