Job Description

Senior Prevention Programs Manager

Overview: The individual selected for this position will work in the Prevention Division Central Office located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services. Under general supervision of the Director of Prevention Services for the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS), the incumbent will be responsible for the fiscal and programmatic oversight, and develop, plan, organize, facilitate, direct, and oversee all activities needed to build the capacity  for School-Based statewide prevention services,  Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) for schools; Higher Education Based Prevention Services, and Faith-based Prevention Services, among others. This position will also ensure compliance with the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health Services and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) standards and best practice requirements in managing and delivering care in programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master's degree in public health, social work, psychology, or a related field and five years of program management experience or any related experience to include two years of supervisory experience and one-year budget oversight experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience managing complex initiatives in the education, healthcare, community sectors preferred.

NOTE: No substitution for bachelor’s degree or the required two years of supervisory experience and one-year budget oversight experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master’s degree and two years of professional experience;
- Or a bachelor’s degree and three years of professional experience;
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
