The project:
This opportunity forms part of one of the most significant hyperscale data centre developments in the Asia Pacific region, delivering a multi-gigawatt, mission-critical campus in Queensland, Australia. With a projected construction programme spanning more than six years, the project offers the rare opportunity to contribute to a landmark development through multiple phases of design, delivery and operational readiness.
Working alongside a world-class client and an exceptional Mace team, you will help deliver infrastructure of the highest quality within a heavily regulated environment. This role will suit professionals who have experience on large-scale, complex projects and who consistently demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and technical excellence.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Lead claims and commercial management activities, ensuring contractual compliance, risk mitigation and successful project outcomes across the data centre programme.
- Prepare and administer contracts, warranties, bonds and licences, securing timely execution by all relevant parties.
- Assess and negotiate claims, variations and design changes, developing accurate cost evaluations and client recommendations.
- Provide strategic commercial advice, monitoring performance, financial viability and delivery against project objectives and contractual obligations.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships, promoting collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across project teams and partners.
- Apply analytical problem-solving expertise to resolve contract and procurement issues while supporting sustainable, value-driven project delivery.
You’ll need to have:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management (or equivalent) with 10+ years' commercial management experience.
- Strong expertise in contract administration, NEC/JCT contracts, claims and change management.
- Proven commercial acumen in risk management, cost control and value optimisation.
- Proficient in digital tools, BIM applications and data-driven decision-making.
- MRICS/RICS (or equivalent) or working towards professional accreditation.
