The project:

This opportunity forms part of one of the most significant hyperscale data centre developments in the Asia Pacific region, delivering a multi-gigawatt, mission-critical campus in Queensland, Australia. With a projected construction programme spanning more than six years, the project offers the rare opportunity to contribute to a landmark development through multiple phases of design, delivery and operational readiness.

Working alongside a world-class client and an exceptional Mace team, you will help deliver infrastructure of the highest quality within a heavily regulated environment. This role will suit professionals who have experience on large-scale, complex projects and who consistently demonstrate the highest levels of integrity, professionalism and technical excellence.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Provides technical engineering support and project-wide dimensional control, ensuring accurate setting out and verification of construction works.
- Reviews design information and resolves technical queries with designers and trade contractors to maintain programme delivery.
- Oversees trade contractor compliance with ITPs, quality requirements, and verification records.
- Conducts inspections and validates as-built surveys to support safe progression of construction activities.
- Leads and coordinates site engineering activities, fostering strong stakeholder relationships and continuous improvement.
- Supports temporary works management and contributes to Mace’s net zero carbon ambitions through proactive carbon reduction initiatives.

You’ll need to have:

- Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering with 8+ years’ experience in complex construction projects.
- Chartered or professionally accredited with a recognised engineering institution.
- Strong expertise in construction methods, temporary works, dimensional control and quality assurance.
- Experienced in managing engineering delivery, trade contractors and site compliance.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and mentoring capabilities.
