Career Land Center is hiring an experienced Sous Chef for an F&B company in Kuwait .
We are looking for a skilled and hands-on culinary professional who can support daily kitchen operations, maintain consistent food quality, supervise junior chefs, and ensure smooth preparation and service. The Sous Chef will play an important role in supporting kitchen leadership, maintaining standards, and ensuring efficient culinary operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise food preparation, mise en place, cooking, plating, and service readiness.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to company standards, recipes, and quality expectations.
- Guide and support junior chefs and kitchen team members during daily operations.
- Monitor food quality, portion control, consistency, presentation, and timing.
- Assist with menu execution, daily specials, recipe standards, and food presentation.
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Monitor stock levels, food rotation, storage, wastage, and kitchen organization.
- Assist with ordering, inventory control, and cost-conscious kitchen practices.
- Train and coach junior team members to improve performance and consistency.
- Coordinate with service, stewarding, purchasing, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Step in to lead the assigned kitchen section or outlet when required.
- Support continuous improvement in kitchen efficiency, quality, and team productivity.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef, Junior Sous Chef, or similar culinary role.
- Strong experience in restaurants, hospitality groups, hotels, or high-volume F&B operations.
- Good knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, and culinary standards.
- Strong team supervision, communication, and training skills.
- Good understanding of food cost control, inventory management, portion control, and wastage reduction.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and handle pressure professionally.
- Organized, detail-oriented, quality-focused, and hands-on in daily operations.
- Professional attitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- International hospitality or multi-outlet experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.
