Career Land Center is hiring an experienced Executive Sous Chef for an F&B company in Kuwait .
We are looking for a highly skilled and hands-on culinary professional who can support the Executive Chef in leading kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality, managing kitchen teams, and ensuring smooth daily production across outlets. The Executive Sous Chef will play a key role in menu execution, team supervision, food safety, cost control, and overall kitchen performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations across assigned outlets or concepts.
- Supervise, guide, and motivate the culinary team to maintain high standards of food quality and consistency.
- Ensure all dishes are prepared, cooked, and presented according to company standards and recipes.
- Oversee mise en place, food preparation, production planning, and service readiness.
- Monitor kitchen workflow during busy service periods to ensure smooth and timely operations.
- Support menu development, new dish implementation, seasonal specials, and food presentation standards.
- Maintain strict hygiene, food safety, cleanliness, and HACCP standards at all times.
- Monitor food cost, portion control, wastage, inventory, and stock rotation.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, storage, and proper handling of food products.
- Train, coach, and develop chefs and kitchen team members.
- Conduct daily briefings and ensure clear communication within the culinary team.
- Coordinate closely with the service team, purchasing, stewarding, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Support operational improvements and ensure consistency across all food production areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Executive Sous Chef, Senior Sous Chef, or similar senior culinary role.
- Strong experience in restaurants, hospitality groups, hotels, or high-volume F&B operations.
- Solid knowledge of kitchen operations, food production, menu execution, and culinary standards.
- Strong leadership, team-management, and training skills.
- Good understanding of food cost control, inventory management, portion control, and wastage reduction.
- Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment and handle pressure professionally.
- Creative, organized, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
- Professional attitude with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- International hospitality or multi-outlet experience is an advantage.
- Willingness to relocate to Kuwait.
