Role Objective:
The
Maintenance Control Centre Engineer (MCC) is responsible for overseeing,
coordinating, and supporting the technical operations of Salam Air’s fleet in
real-time. This role involves continuous monitoring of aircraft health,
managing defects, and ensuring technical dispatch reliability to minimize
flight operation disruptions while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Check
aircraft history to prepare and control maintenance programs on daily basis
ensuring timely completion of all maintenance activities.
- Plan,
schedule, and coordinate aircraft maintenance activities, including both
scheduled and unscheduled tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Monitor
ongoing maintenance tasks and provide support to resolve any issues that may
arise, ensuring compliance with the company's maintenance procedures and
regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate
with Line Maintenance, Technical Services, OCC and other departments to ensure
timely resolution of maintenance issues and maintain operational readiness.
- Communicate
effectively with flight crews, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to
provide updates on aircraft status and any maintenance-related concerns.
- Maintain
and update maintenance records and reports to ensure compliance with safety and
regulatory standards.
- Analyse
maintenance trends and recommend improvements to optimize aircraft reliability
and reduce downtime.
- Assist in
the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and tasks for all
aircraft.
- Provide
technical support during AOG situations, ensuring swift recovery and minimal
disruption to operations.
- Monitor
deferred defects for all aircraft daily and follow up on spare parts to ensure
corrective actions are initiated and properly planned.
- Coordinate
with the Technical Planning and Production Planning sections on the
scheduled/unscheduled component requirements and work with the relevant
departments to ensure timely procurement.
- Follow-up
with the Technical Materials section to check the turn-around time for
components and initiate the necessary provisioning of items.
- Coordinate
with the IOCC to obtain authorization for aircraft swapping, ensuring that no
aircraft operations are delayed.
- Follow up
and monitor unscheduled work arising from accidents, incidents, failures,
malfunctioning or findings discovered upon inspection of aircraft or components
used.
- Assess the
nature and volume of work in detail to establish production forecasts, ensuring
the optimal arrangement of workload and the timely release of serviceable
aircraft according to the schedule.
- Prepare the
agenda for the weekly operational review meeting and follow up on the necessary
requirements.
- Coordinate
with QA to secure a one-off authorization OOA for outstation technical handling
provider that does not hold Salam Air authorization approval.
- Undertake
any other task related to aircraft maintenance as and when directed.
Requirements
- A minimum
of 7 years of experience in the aviation industry as certifying staff, with at
least 3 years spent performing Maintenance Control Centre duties and functions,
is preferred.
- Level III
type course for the A320 Family with CFM LEAP-1A & CFM56
- Graduate
degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent will be
an added advantage.
