About this role
Role Objective:
To ensure
the continued airworthiness, reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of
aircraft systems by assessing regulatory requirements and technical
modifications, supporting maintenance and overhaul programs, providing
technical expertise for operational issues, and collaborating with
manufacturers, service providers, and internal stakeholders. The role is
responsible for driving continuous improvement in maintenance practices,
service quality, and aircraft reliability while ensuring compliance with
regulatory and organizational standards.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently
co-ordinate with other departments regarding Technical Projects to achieve high
quality technical standards acceptable to airworthiness authority and the
company.
- Reviews
ADs, SBs, modifications, reliability issues, and maintenance programs related
to assigned aircraft systems.
- Maintaining a database of information / history relevant to
each aircraft and its systems/components that includes modification data.
- Establish
and or enforce compliance of applicable rules, policies and procedures and
ensure HSE Policies are complied with and recommended updates accordingly.
- Reviews and
coordinate proposal preparations, statements of work and specifications,
estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of
contracts thereby supporting Manager Technical Services to arrive at the best
option and undertake necessary action steps.
- Oversee and
manage the maintenance, inspection, and modification of aircraft systems,
including hydraulics, pneumatics, landing gear, fuel, air conditioning, flight
controls, and water/waste.
- Develop and
implement maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations,
manufacturer recommendations, and airworthiness requirements.
- Provides
engineering support for system malfunctions, component reliability, and
overhaul programs.
- Lead
investigations into any issues with aircraft systems, ensuring accurate root
cause analysis and timely resolution.
- Coordinate
with engineering teams and external vendors to source parts, tools, and
equipment necessary for repairs or modifications.
- Ensure that
all maintenance and modification activities are documented accurately and
comply with regulatory and company requirements.
- Maintain
and update technical records, including inspection reports, service bulletins,
and maintenance logs.
- Contribute
to the development of aircraft maintenance programs related to aircraft
systems, ensuring they are aligned with fleet requirements and operational
goals.
- Monitor and
ensure that scheduled maintenance related to aircraft systems is completed on
time, minimizing aircraft downtime and maximizing fleet availability.
- Liaise with
other departments, including Maintenance, Operations, and Procurement, to
ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
- Communicate
with external suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely supply of parts and
services for related aircraft systems.
- Provide
technical advice and support to the team, ensuring they are equipped with the
knowledge and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Developing,
reviewing, and maintaining Technical Notices (TN) and ensure timely
dissemination of information.
- Identify
areas for improvement in maintenance procedures and contribute to the
implementation of solutions that enhance service quality and efficiency.
- Participate
in training programs to stay updated on the latest technical developments,
tools, and regulations in the field of aircraft systems.
- Carry out
any other task as and when directed by Manager Technical Services.
Requirements
- Graduate in
Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
- Strong
experience with aircraft inspection, repair, and modification.
