MetroCorps Private Limited is a newly established project management company in Gachibowli, Hyderabad, delivering engineering design, procurement and project controls for design-build projects of US clients across Africa, the GCC and Europe. Every project is designed through conceptual, developmental, pre-final and final stages with licensed US Professional Engineers, and taken from the first page of the RFP to handover. Our programme includes modular and containerised living units, substation renovation, medium-voltage switchgear, UPS and generator systems, wastewater treatment plants and building renovation. The role
We are building the founding team of our Hyderabad office and are looking for a Procurement Manager to set up and lead procurement for our international design-build projects. You will source equipment and materials worldwide, qualify and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors, and get long-lead equipment delivered to overseas project sites on programme.
What you will do
- Set up the procurement function: procedures, the approved vendor list, supplier qualification and a clear audit trail behind every award.
- Plan procurement for each project, identifying long-lead equipment early and tracking it against the project programme.
- Issue enquiries, run technical and commercial bid evaluations with the design team, and negotiate high-value purchase orders and subcontracts.
- Draft purchase-order and subcontract terms under international contracting standards.
- Source internationally and manage freight, export documentation and delivery to overseas project sites.
- Expedite suppliers, track deliveries and resolve shipping and customs issues.
- Control spend against budget, keep procurement records audit-ready, and build and lead a small procurement and logistics team.
What we are looking for
- B.E./B.Tech or equivalent; an MBA or CIPS qualification is an advantage.
- 8–12 years of construction or engineering procurement, including a leadership role, with a reputed contractor, EPC/GC or PMC.
- Supplier strategy, vendor qualification and high-value negotiation, with evidenced savings.
- Genuine international sourcing and export shipping experience, not domestic buying only.
- Purchase-order and subcontract terms, incoterms and shipping documentation.
- ERP experience and disciplined spend control.
- Excellent written English and the ability to lead a team to programme dates.
